Every school day, the hardworking members of our Child Nutrition Program (CNP) team are up before the students arrive, preparing meals that fuel learning across Vestavia Hills City Schools. Their work is easy to take for granted, but it is anything but routine.
Each year, our CNP teams serve more than 678,000 breakfast and lunch meals to students, staff, and visitors. Behind every plate is a commitment to serving food that is both nutritious and appealing, with the kind of care that comes from people who know our students by name.
That care shows in the results. In recent inspections by the Jefferson County Department of Health, all eight of our CNP sites earned high scores, and six of the eight sites earned a perfect score of 100.
To our CNP teams: Thank you for the food you prepare, the kindness you show, and the standards you keep. You are an essential part of how we care for our students and staff.
